This class will be using QuickBooks 2011, and will also include the new features such as: 
Company Snapshot - a real time view of your company with multiple graphs and reports such as previous year comparison, income and expense trends, customers who owe you, etc.
Document Management - documents can be attached to customers, vendors, lists, etc.
Add/Edit Multiple Entries using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets - a way to incorporate Excel data into QuickBooks.

The Detection and Prevention of Fraud (Or the Company You Save May be Your Own)

According to research by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), more than 30 percent of all fraud occurs in small companies.  Both accounting errors and fraud are common problems for small businesses.  A study shows that 72% of incidents were committed by employees who held finance/bookkeeping and accounting positions.

A small mistake in accounting for a payment from a customer can lead to underpaid sales taxes eventually resulting in penalties and interest charges cutting into the profit of the small business.
