How It Works:
Under non-disclosure agreements, group members from non-competing industries share their business experience and expertise, with the goal of helping each other grow their companies.
By providing feedback, training and process parameters, your facilitator aids the group in working through the strategic planning process and counsels each member in a private session each month. Each member is responsible for setting and reporting on monthly goals, as well as engaging in the activities required by the strategic planning process and training activities.
Requirements: A company should be in business for at least one year, preferably longer.
Investment: $30.00 per month
When: Three and 1/2 hour sessions, once a month, date and time are determined by each group.
Additional Information:
Peer Mentoring: Input from your peers on your team can help sharpen your creativity and help you avoid pitfalls. Being accountable to your peers for monthly goal setting and reporting helps keep you on track.
Strategic Planning: Strategic planning adds value to your business through educating you about your markets, your competition, the business environment and brainstorming new strategic directions. Strategic planning also helps you prepare your business to take advantage of change.
Training: Each session includes time for training on a wide variety of business related topics. Training is provided by your Team Facilitator and guest speakers.
Business Counseling: Your Team Facilitator provides technical assistance during the monthly meetings and one-on-one counseling between sessions.
Facilitators: Team Facilitators are business assistance professionals from the Washington Business Center at Community Capital Development.
